FAQPage Schema

How do I create local-first Excalidraw diagrams without sending data to the cloud?▼

You can create local-first Excalidraw diagrams by using a local Docker-based runtime to generate and manage .excalidraw source files, ensuring sensitive visual communication never leaves your infrastructure.

Do I need Docker to set up a local Excalidraw canvas environment?▼

Docker is required to set up the local runtime environment for initializing project folders and launching containers, though native environments are also supported for managing local-first Excalidraw files.

What is the best way to prevent accidental data exposure when exporting Excalidraw JSON artifacts?▼

The best way to prevent data exposure during Excalidraw exports is to use built-in security review checklists and data classification protocols that validate JSON artifacts before finalizing the output.

How does structural validation work for Excalidraw JSON files?▼
