FAQPage Schema

How do I extract and consolidate reusable patterns into a design system?▼

Extracting reusable patterns involves analyzing projects to identify components and tokens, then consolidating them into a central design system to enrich your library and ensure consistency.

What is design token extraction and when do I need it?▼

Design token extraction is the process of identifying visual styling properties across multiple products and converting them into shared variables. You need it to maintain consistency and streamline design-system maintenance across various repos.

Can I migrate existing components into shared tokens across multiple products?▼

Yes, you can migrate existing components by applying clear naming conventions and structured guidelines to map them into shared tokens and patterns across multiple products and repos.

What is the best way to identify reusable UI components for a component library?▼

The best way to identify reusable UI components is through automated pattern discovery, which analyzes your projects to pinpoint consolidation opportunities and enrich your central component library.

Does pattern discovery require a structured plan for design system maintenance?▼

Yes, pattern discovery requires a structured plan for extraction, clear naming conventions, and migration guidelines to successfully consolidate reusable components and tokens into your design system.
