SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill requires requests.

What problem does it solve?

This skill solves the technical complexity of integrating high-quality, GPU-accelerated face swapping into video production pipelines without requiring manual frame-by-frame editing.

Core Features & Use Cases

Automated Face Replacement: Seamlessly swaps a source face onto a target video subject using HeyGen's advanced AI workflows.
Workflow Chaining: Supports complex production sequences, such as generating an avatar video first and then applying a custom face swap for personalization.
Use Case: A content creator can generate a base avatar video for a presentation and then use this skill to swap in a specific client's face to create a personalized marketing video at scale.

Quick Start

Use the faceswap skill to replace the face in target_video.mp4 with the face from source_image.jpg using the HeyGen API.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I automate face swapping in a video production pipeline?▼

You can automate face swapping in a video production pipeline by orchestrating HeyGen API workflows to replace target video subjects with source faces, handling asynchronous polling for GPU-accelerated processing without manual frame editing.

Do I need a HeyGen API key to perform AI video face swapping?▼

Yes, a valid HeyGen API key is required to perform AI video face swapping, as the skill orchestrates HeyGen's GPU-accelerated workflows and handles asynchronous polling for long-running visual editing tasks.

Can I use a single image to personalize an avatar video with a custom face swap?▼

Yes, you can use a single source image to personalize an avatar video by chaining HeyGen workflows, which first generates the base avatar presentation and then applies the custom face swap for scaled content generation.

What is the best way to handle long-running GPU-accelerated face swap tasks?▼

The best way to handle long-running GPU-accelerated face swap tasks is to use asynchronous polling via the HeyGen API, which monitors the workflow execution status until the personalized video asset is fully processed.

Does video face swapping support workflow chaining for automated content generation?▼

Yes, video face swapping supports workflow chaining for automated content generation, allowing you to sequence complex production tasks like generating an avatar video first and then applying a custom face swap for personalization.

Why does automated face swapping avoid manual frame-by-frame video editing?▼

Automated face swapping avoids manual frame-by-frame video editing because it uses AI-driven HeyGen workflows to seamlessly replace faces across entire video assets, solving the technical complexity of integrating high-quality visual personalization.
