What problem does it solve?

Generates a color-coded fan chart SVG of the ancestor tree to visualize research verification tiers across generations.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Visual overview: a semicircular SVG chart coloring each ancestor by their verification tier, derived from GEDCOM data and FINDINGS.md.
  • Configurable depth: supports a selectable number of generations to balance readability and detail.
  • Quick inspection: helps answer questions like “what have we verified?” or “show me what's been researched” at a glance.

Quick Start

Run python scripts/fan_chart.py 7 to generate a seven-generation ancestor fan chart.
