FAQPage Schema

How do I automate building a Figma design system from scratch?▼

You can automate Figma design system creation by orchestrating multi-phase workflows that handle variable creation, component library development, and theming through extensive API calls. This ensures professional-grade consistency and reduces manual design effort.

What is design system workflow orchestration and when do I need it?▼

Design system workflow orchestration coordinates multi-phase API calls to automate variable creation and component library generation. You need it for complex Figma structures requiring high consistency, ensuring components match your codebase and adhere to best practices.

Do I need the figma-use skill to generate a component library?▼

Yes, generating a component library requires the figma-use skill as a dependency. The library generation process leverages figma-use to execute 20 to over 100 API calls required for complex design system structures and workflow orchestration.

Can I use design automation to sync Figma components with my codebase?▼

Yes, design automation can generate Figma component libraries with variable bindings and theming tailored to your codebase. This automated workflow ensures your design system components remain consistent with established codebase patterns.

What are the limitations of automating Figma design system construction?▼

Automating Figma design system construction involves 20 to 100+ API calls, making it best suited for complex structures with high consistency requirements rather than simple, small-scale component generation tasks.

What's the best way to maintain consistency across Figma variables and components?▼

The best way to maintain consistency is using automated workflow orchestration to handle variable creation and component library development. This executes quality patterns across multiple phases, ensuring professional-grade design system consistency.
