SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Manually configuring Flutter app localization requires adding multiple dependencies, adjusting pubspec.yaml settings, and creating configuration files, which is time-consuming and prone to configuration errors for new Flutter projects.

Core Features & Use Cases

Automated Dependency Setup: Adds the required flutter_localizations and intl packages to the project's pubspec.yaml file automatically.
Code Generation Enablement: Sets the generate true flag in pubspec.yaml to enable Flutter's built-in localization code generation.
Pre-configured l10n Setup: Creates a ready-to-use l10n.yaml configuration file aligned with Flutter's official localization workflow.
Use Case: New Flutter projects that need to support multiple languages can use this skill to complete all required localization setup steps in seconds, without manual configuration.

FAQPage Schema

How do I set up Flutter localization for a new project?▼

To set up Flutter localization, you must add flutter_localizations and intl packages, enable the generate flag in pubspec.yaml, and create an l10n.yaml file to enable multi-language support and automated localized resource generation.

What dependencies do I need for Flutter internationalization?▼

Flutter internationalization requires the flutter_localizations and intl packages added to your pubspec.yaml. You also need to set generate to true to enable Flutter's built-in localization code generation.

What does the l10n.yaml file do in Flutter multi-language apps?▼

The l10n.yaml file in Flutter multi-language apps provides a pre-configured setup aligned with Flutter's official localization workflow. It enables code generation for translating strings without manual configuration errors.

Can I automate l10n configuration for multiple languages in Flutter?▼

Yes, you can automate l10n configuration by applying a setup that adds required dependencies and creates a ready-to-use l10n.yaml file. This completes all required Flutter localization steps in seconds without manual configuration.

Why is my Flutter localization code generation not working?▼

Flutter localization code generation fails if the generate flag is not set to true in pubspec.yaml. Ensure flutter_localizations and intl packages are added and the l10n.yaml configuration file is properly created.
