SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

FP Plan automates the process of turning high-level goals into concrete, trackable FP issues by creating a hierarchical plan that can be expanded into tasks and dependencies.

Core Features & Use Cases

Create a parent plan issue and decompose it into atomic subtasks for better focus and delivery visibility.
Import plans from external sources such as GitHub, Linear, or Notion and auto-generate a structured task tree.
Visualize dependencies and progression with FP-style planning workflows, enabling orderly execution and cross-team coordination.

Quick Start

Import a plan or URL and let FP Plan automatically decompose it into a hierarchy of trackable FP issues.

FAQPage Schema

How do I turn high-level plans into trackable issues?▼

To turn high-level plans into trackable issues, you can import a plan or URL and let the system automatically decompose it into a structured hierarchy of parent and child tasks with dependency management.

Can I import and decompose tasks from external sources like GitHub or Notion?▼

Yes, you can import plans from external sources like GitHub, Linear, or Notion. The tool auto-generates a structured task tree by progressively decomposing imported data into atomic subtasks.

What is hierarchical task decomposition for project planning?▼

Hierarchical task decomposition is the process of breaking down a parent plan issue into smaller, atomic subtasks. This enables better focus, delivery visibility, and orderly execution through dependency management.

Does the issue-tracking workflow support visualizing task dependencies?▼

Yes, the issue-tracking workflow supports visualizing dependencies and progression. This enables orderly execution and cross-team coordination by mapping out relationships within the hierarchical issue tree.

What's the best way to generate a structured task tree from a URL?▼

The best way to generate a structured task tree from a URL is to import it directly into the planning workflow. The system applies descriptive templates and command-based planning to automatically create parent-child issues.
