What problem does it solve?

This skill solves the problem of securely getting live photovoltaic and inverter data from Fronius devices and Solar.web without exposing Solar.web access-key values.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Local monitoring via Fronius Solar API V1: Read inverter, meter, storage, OhmPilot, and power-flow details from the inverter’s LAN endpoints.
  • Cloud monitoring via Solar.web Query API: Fetch PV system lists and energy/power/messaging/error data from the cloud using stored secrets.
  • Normalized “live status” answers: Provide a single summary that reports current production, load, grid exchange, and battery metrics in consistent fields.
  • Safety and guardrails: Enforces allowlisted operations and endpoint shapes, rejects secret values on the command line, and separates local-network failures from cloud auth/rate-limit issues.

Quick Start

Ask for current solar status by providing your inverter base URL and running the local summary to get normalized live production, consumption, grid, and battery metrics.
