High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I optimize gaming performance for an AMD RX 6800 on Arch Linux?▼

To optimize AMD RX 6800 gaming on Arch Linux, you need to provision the AMDGPU and Mesa driver stack alongside Vulkan RADV drivers. This ensures the correct graphics and compute libraries are active for rendering workloads.

What is the best way to configure Steam Proton and Lutris on Arch Linux?▼

Configuring Steam Proton and Lutris on Arch Linux requires installing specific 32-bit compatibility libraries and Vulkan dependencies. Proper setup allows Windows games and launchers to run seamlessly through translation layers.

Does Hyprland work with fullscreen gaming and AMD GPUs?▼

Hyprland works with fullscreen gaming on AMD GPUs when configured with specific window rules. Applying these rules ensures games maintain focus, correct tiling behavior, and stable performance during gameplay sessions.

How do I set up MangoHud and GameMode for Arch Linux gaming?▼

Setting up MangoHud and GameMode involves installing the performance tooling packages and configuring their environment variables. MangoHud provides an overlay for monitoring frame metrics while GameMode optimizes CPU and GPU runtime settings.

Can I benchmark AMD RX 6800 performance using Steam Proton and MangoHud?▼

You can benchmark AMD RX 6800 performance by launching Steam Proton games with MangoHud enabled. MangoHud captures real-time frame timings and logging data to evaluate the Vulkan RADV driver stack performance.

Why do I need 32-bit libraries for Steam and Lutris on Arch Linux?▼

32-bit libraries are required for Steam and Lutris on Arch Linux because many games and Windows compatibility layers depend on legacy architecture support. Installing the multilib repository packages prevents runtime crashes and missing dependencies.
