What problem does it solve?

This recipe automates the creation of complete book cover spreads (back, spine, and front) for print-on-demand publishing, ensuring correct spine calculation and layout at high resolution.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Calculate spine width from page count and assemble back cover with ISBN barcode
  • Rotate and place the spine title, and attach the front cover image in a single API call at 300 DPI
  • Output is RGB (PNG, JPEG, or WebP); CMYK conversion for print-ready files can be done as a separate post-processing step

Quick Start

Provide the book metadata (title, author, page count) and a front cover image, then call the image-generation API with computed spine width and bleed to generate the spreads.
