Send a GET request to https://api.giphy.com/v1/gifs/search with your api_key, a URL-encoded query q, a limit, and rating=g. The GIF URL is found at data[0].images.original.url in the JSON response.
You need a GIPHY_API_KEY environment variable containing a key from the Giphy Developers portal. Without this key set, the search endpoint cannot be called.
Always include the rating=g parameter in the search request. This restricts results to G-rated content, which is the default behavior of this Skill for every query.
Use short emotional or action phrases like "happy dance", "mind blown", "facepalm reaction", or "celebration confetti". Concise intent-based phrases return more relevant matches than long descriptive sentences.
If no matching GIF is found, the Skill says so and asks for different keywords rather than returning an irrelevant or off-topic GIF.
