SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill streamlines GitHub project management by automating issue tracking, project board synchronization, and sprint planning through AI swarm coordination.

Core Features & Use Cases

Automated Issue Management: Create, triage, and decompose issues with AI agents.
Project Board Automation: Synchronize tasks between project boards and issues, automate card transitions.
Sprint Planning: Facilitate sprint setup, progress tracking, and velocity analysis.
Use Case: Automatically create detailed subtasks from a high-level feature request, assign them to appropriate AI agents, and update a GitHub project board in real-time.

Quick Start

Use the github-project-management skill to create a new GitHub issue with the title "Implement user authentication" and assign it to the "development" project board.

Frequently Asked Questions about github-project-management

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I automate GitHub project board synchronization with issue tracking?▼

GitHub project board synchronization is automated by coordinating AI swarms to keep project cards and issues aligned in real-time. The Skill manages card transitions and task decomposition automatically, requiring the GitHub CLI to execute updates.

Can I break down a high-level feature request into detailed subtasks on GitHub automatically?▼

Yes, high-level feature requests are automatically decomposed into detailed subtasks using AI agents. The Skill assigns these subtasks to appropriate agents and updates your GitHub project board without manual intervention.

What is AI swarm coordination for sprint planning and issue management?▼

AI swarm coordination for sprint planning uses multiple AI agents to facilitate sprint setup, track progress, and analyze sprint velocity. It orchestrates issue triage and task assignment to optimize GitHub project workflows.

Do I need the GitHub CLI and an MCP server to run AI-powered project orchestration?▼

Yes, running AI-powered project orchestration requires the GitHub CLI along with either the ruv-swarm or Codex-flow MCP server. These dependencies provide the execution environment for AI agents to interact with GitHub.

How do I track sprint velocity and cycle time for GitHub issues?▼

Sprint velocity and cycle time are tracked through built-in analytics generated during workflow orchestration. The Skill automatically captures issue progression data from GitHub to calculate and provide these sprint metrics.

What are the limitations of using AI swarms for GitHub project management?▼

Using AI swarms for GitHub project management requires specific MCP servers like ruv-swarm or Codex-flow and the GitHub CLI. Execution is limited to environments where these dependencies are properly configured and authenticated.
