What problem does it solve?

Tether DSLR / mirrorless cameras via USB or PTP/IP to enable automated capture, live preview, and direct file transfer without manual camera interaction.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Live preview and capture: start live view, take photos or record movies directly from the host.
  • Bulk download and workflow automation: pull all files from the camera card and organize them for post-processing.
  • Remote configuration and Wi‑Fi support: adjust shutter, ISO, aperture, and other settings over PTP/IP, including wireless connections to compatible cameras.

Quick Start

Identify the connected camera with tether.py detect and begin a capture workflow with tether.py shoot or tether.py preview as needed.
