What problem does it solve?
Phase 7 Regime B — quantile-based level division helps educators automatically categorize a graded cohort into equal-quantile levels based on percentage, enabling fair rank-based leveling when no reference calibration data is available.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Sorts students by percentage and computes quantile boundaries to produce level_division.json with method "quantile".
- Validates inputs (LEVEL_COUNT > 0; ensures enough students) and writes results atomically to prevent partial updates.
- Use Case: when there is no reference calibration data, apply quantile division to generate final levels for reporting and progression.
Quick Start
Run the quantile division script to generate level_division.json from final_scores.json.
