Drafting fundable grant proposals from research ideas is time-consuming and error-prone. This skill automates structuring, coherence, and formatting across agencies to increase funding success.

Core Features & Use Cases

Agency-ready formatting: Produces sections tailored to major funders (KAKENHI, NSF, NSFC, ERC, etc.) with placeholders for budgets and timelines.
Independent Aims & Narrative: Builds 2–4 aims that are independently valuable and logically connected, with a clear claims-evidence matrix.
Literature-driven justification: Integrates literature surveys and novelty checks to justify significance and approach.

Quick Start

Provide a research idea and target grant type to generate a complete, reviewer-ready grant proposal draft.

FAQPage Schema

How do I write a grant proposal from a research idea for multiple funding agencies?▼

To write a grant proposal from a research idea, provide your validated concept and target grant type to generate a reviewer-ready document. The draft includes agency-specific sections, independent aims, and budget placeholders tailored for funders like KAKENHI, NSF, or ERC.

How do you structure research aims in a grant proposal to be independently valuable?▼

Structuring research aims in a grant proposal involves building 2 to 4 aims that are independently valuable yet logically connected. The process uses a claims-evidence matrix to ensure each aim contributes cohesively to the overall narrative.

How do I justify the novelty and significance of a grant proposal using literature?▼

Justifying novelty and significance in a grant proposal requires integrating literature surveys and gap identification. The skill searches for relevant literature to validate research ideas and substantiate the significance and approach sections for reviewers.

Can I format my grant proposal in LaTeX instead of markdown?▼

Yes, you can format your grant proposal in LaTeX. The skill outputs reviewer-ready documents in markdown by default, but it provides optional LaTeX formatting when requested, ensuring compliance with agency-specific submission guidelines.

What specific sections does an agency-ready grant proposal draft include?▼

An agency-ready grant proposal draft includes sections tailored to major funders, PI qualifications, timeline, and budget placeholders. It produces a cohesive narrative with a claims-evidence matrix suitable for KAKENHI, NSFC, and ERC applications.

Does automated grant proposal writing work without prior validated research ideas?▼

No, automated grant proposal writing requires a validated research idea as input. The tool translates existing concepts into fundable applications by searching literature and designing aims, rather than generating the foundational research hypothesis itself.
