SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps you explore interface and interaction ideas quickly before committing to implementation, reducing design risk and avoiding wasted build cycles.

Core Features & Use Cases

Throwaway HTML mockups: Create quick, disposable sketches for a UI concept or interaction pattern.
Variant exploration: Produce 2 to 3 competing versions of the same idea for comparison.
Frontier analysis: Review the current sketch landscape and propose both consistency-driven and boundary-pushing directions.
Use case: A product team can sketch a settings panel, compare layout variants, and choose the clearest interaction model before engineering starts.

Quick Start

Ask the skill to sketch a UI idea for a specific feature and include any constraints, then review the generated variants and choose one direction to refine.

Frequently Asked Questions about gsd-sketch

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I sketch UI ideas with quick HTML mockups before implementation?▼

To sketch UI ideas with quick HTML mockups, you describe a feature concept and constraints to generate 2 to 3 throwaway HTML variants for visual and interaction comparison before committing to engineering.

What is frontier analysis for exploring interaction design variants?▼

Frontier analysis for interaction design reviews the current sketch landscape and proposes consistency-driven and boundary-pushing visual directions, helping product teams choose the clearest interaction model.

Can I generate competing visual variants for product design mockups?▼

Yes, you can generate 2 to 3 competing visual variants for product design mockups by requesting multiple layout directions for the same feature, allowing direct comparison of interface alternatives.

What is the best way to explore interface directions without wasting build cycles?▼

The best way to explore interface directions without wasting build cycles is creating disposable HTML sketches to validate visual layouts and interaction patterns before engineering development begins.

Do I need specific design software to create throwaway HTML mockups?▼

No specific design software is required to create throwaway HTML mockups; the workflow relies on generating disposable HTML code variants and structured handoff patterns for persistent design notes.

When should I not use throwaway HTML mockups for UI exploration?▼

Throwaway HTML mockups for UI exploration should not be used for final production implementation; they are strictly for early frontier analysis, variant comparison, and reducing design risk before coding.
