What problem does it solve?

This Skill solves the problem of having to reinstall or redeploy to change which skill clusters are active in your runtime, so you can quickly tailor behavior to the task at hand.

Core Features & Use Cases

• Profile-based surface switching: apply a named base profile (e.g., standard) and re-stage the active commands/skills without reinstalling.
• Cluster enable/disable: temporarily remove or restore entire clusters (e.g., core_loop, audit_review, docs, utility) while keeping everything else stable.
• Visibility and auditing: list and status the enabled/disabled clusters and skills, including an estimated token-cost summary for the active surface.
• Use Case: before a deep engineering sprint, disable non-essential clusters like utility and docs to focus the runtime; later, re-enable them when you need health checks, settings, or documentation.

Quick Start

Use the command gsd-surface profile standard to apply the standard surface profile and immediately re-stage the active commands/gsd directory.
