What problem does it solve?

This Skill solves the problem of manually retyping handwritten notes, equations, and problem sets into clean, editable LaTeX for Overleaf.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Handwriting-to-LaTeX conversion: Converts uploaded images and PDFs containing handwritten academic content into an Overleaf-ready .tex file.
  • Math-first recognition rules: Produces LaTeX math structures for inline math, multi-step derivations (align*), and display equations ([ ... ]) without numbered equation tags.
  • Structured documents output: Wraps the result in a complete LaTeX document with sensible packages (e.g., amsmath, amssymb, physics) and supports multi-page inputs merged in order.
  • Quality safeguards for ambiguous text: Inserts LaTeX comments for unclear handwriting and includes a final “Please verify” list when needed.

Quick Start

Upload a clear photo or scanned PDF of your handwritten math notes and ask: "Convert this to LaTeX suitable for Overleaf, and include the full .tex source."
