Frequently Asked Questions about hmem-sync-setup

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I set up cross-device memory synchronization?▼

Set up cross-device memory synchronization by running the connect command to initiate the interactive wizard, which guides you through securely linking your first device and configuring MCP auto-sync.

Does memory sync use encryption for data transferred between devices?▼

Memory sync uses a zero-knowledge encrypted workflow to secure data transferred between devices, ensuring that your memories remain protected during cross-device synchronization and server transmission.

Can I configure a custom server URL for my memory synchronization?▼

You can configure a custom server URL for memory synchronization by applying server URL overrides during the initial setup or when adding additional devices to your existing sync environment.

How do I add an additional device to restore my existing memories?▼

Add an additional device to restore memories by running the connect command, selecting the restore option within the wizard, and authenticating to sync your existing zero-knowledge encrypted memory data.

What is MCP auto-sync integration for cross-device memory?▼

MCP auto-sync integration enables automatic memory synchronization across devices without manual rehydration, keeping your hmem sessions consistent by seamlessly connecting your memory data through the MCP protocol.

Why do my memories disappear when switching devices?▼

Memories disappear when switching devices because cross-device memory synchronization is not enabled, requiring you to configure the zero-knowledge encrypted sync workflow to maintain consistent context across sessions.
