Quick Start

Set up Honcho for your AI agent using hermes honcho setup and choose the appropriate configuration options.

Frequently Asked Questions about honcho

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I maintain cross-session user modeling for AI agents?▼

Cross-session user modeling maintains a unified view of the user across conversations. This Skill configures Honcho memory to ensure each AI interaction builds upon previous ones for context continuity.

What is peer isolation in AI contextual memory management?▼

Peer isolation ensures each AI agent maintains its own distinct peer identity. This Skill configures multi-profile peer isolation to prevent context overlap between different agents interacting with the same user.

How do I set up Honcho memory for an AI agent?▼

Set up Honcho memory by running the `hermes honcho setup` command. This configures cross-session user modeling, peer isolation, and observation settings for your AI agent.

Do I need the honcho-ai package to manage dialectic reasoning?▼

Yes, the `honcho-ai` package is required. This Skill uses it to tune observation and dialectic reasoning settings, which dictate how an AI agent recalls and processes context.

Can I generate session summaries for AI context continuity?▼

Yes, generating session summaries is a core feature. This allows your AI agent to recall past interactions and maintain a meaningful context window across multiple user sessions.

How does observation tuning affect AI agent behavior?▼

Observation tuning adjusts how an AI agent perceives and retains user interaction data. This Skill manages these settings alongside dialectic reasoning to optimize AI performance and contextual recall.
