SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Generate hybrid cloud tests across silo boundaries for Sentry codebases.

Core Features & Use Cases

Generate templates for RPC service tests, API gateway tests, outbox patterns, and endpoint silo tests.
Enforce silo-aware testing conventions (factory-based setup, correct decorators, pytest-style assertions).
Provide step-by-step patterns and references to standard HC testing references when available.

Quick Start

Provide a description of the HC test you want, and the generator will return ready-to-run HC test scaffolds across RPC, API gateway, outbox, and endpoint silo patterns.

FAQPage Schema

How do I generate hybrid cloud tests across Sentry silo boundaries?▼

You generate hybrid cloud tests by providing a description of the desired test, which yields ready-to-run scaffolds for RPC, API gateway, outbox, and endpoint silo patterns.

What testing conventions are enforced for cross-silo RPC and outbox patterns?▼

Cross-silo tests enforce factory-based setup, correct silo decorators, and pytest-style assertions to maintain consistent testing standards across hybrid cloud codebases.

When do I need to write tests for outbox patterns and API gateways in hybrid cloud codebases?▼

You need outbox pattern and API gateway tests when verifying cross-silo interactions in hybrid cloud codebases, ensuring reliable data consistency across separated Sentry service boundaries.

Does this generator provide templates for endpoint silo tests in Sentry codebases?▼

Yes, the generator provides step-by-step templates and references for endpoint silo tests, applying standard hybrid cloud testing conventions directly to Sentry codebases.

What's the best way to scaffold pytest-style assertions for RPC services across silos?▼

The best way to scaffold pytest-style assertions for RPC services is using the generator's templates, which automatically apply factory-based setup and correct silo decorators for cross-silo verification.
