Frequently Asked Questions about icm-memory

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I maintain cross-session memory for an agent system?▼

Cross-session memory is maintained by storing and recalling durable decisions, errors, and user preferences within a software framework. This ensures critical information persists across sessions for informed future action.

What is decision logging and how does it support persistent memory recall?▼

Decision logging records significant choices and learnings during a task to support persistent memory recall. It allows an agent system to access previous outcomes directly, preventing redundant work and ensuring consistency.

How do I store user preferences and track errors across different agent sessions?▼

You can store user preferences and track errors across agent sessions by utilizing a durable memory store within the harness agent system. This enables context-aware execution by immediately saving significant events for later retrieval.

Does cross-session persistence work without a harness agent system?▼

No, cross-session persistence requires the harness agent system for context-aware execution. The software framework relies on this specific environment to effectively manage and retrieve durable memory.

When do I need cross-session persistent memory for software engineering tasks?▼

You need cross-session persistent memory when rederiving previous findings is inefficient, such as recalling prior research on a project. It ensures critical information and decisions are accessible for optimal future work.
