What problem does it solve?

The IDD doctor provides a read-only health check to surface doc drift, missing autopilot configuration, and unsafe merge defaults in an IDD repository, without modifying any files.

  • Scans for four drift checks (stale skill claims, issue-template fields, autopilot mode, and squash-merge defaults) and reports results in a single pass.
  • Enables pre-merge governance by surfacing misconfigurations and drift before changes are merged, and after /init-gitissue to confirm autopilot settings.
  • Works in read-only mode to maintain repository integrity and safety.
