SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill addresses user churn and low activation rates by applying the Fogg Behavior Model (B=MAP) to identify why users fail to complete core actions.

Core Features & Use Cases

Friction Auditing: Systematically evaluate the six Ability Chain factors to find bottlenecks in your onboarding or core workflows.
Behavior Diagnostics: Score your product's retention health based on motivation, ability, and prompt effectiveness.
Use Case: If users sign up but never complete their first project, use this Skill to audit the Ability Chain, identify the mental effort bottleneck, and implement a Starter Step to increase activation.

Quick Start

Analyze the current onboarding flow for our mobile app and identify the weakest link in the Ability Chain using the B=MAP framework.

FAQPage Schema

How do I diagnose user churn and fix activation issues in my SaaS product?▼

Diagnose user churn by applying the Fogg Behavior Model to evaluate the convergence of motivation, ability, and prompts. This identifies friction points in the user journey to provide actionable strategies for bottleneck removal and activation improvement.

What is the Fogg Behavior Model and how does it help with habit formation?▼

The Fogg Behavior Model (B=MAP) analyzes user behavior patterns by scoring motivation, ability, and prompt effectiveness. It helps design tiny behaviors and starter steps that systematically build habit formation across mobile and SaaS platforms.

How do I audit onboarding friction to find why users never complete their first project?▼

Audit onboarding friction by evaluating the six Ability Chain factors to find workflow bottlenecks. Identifying mental effort constraints allows you to implement starter steps that increase activation and core action completion.

Can behavior design improve mobile app retention as well as SaaS activation rates?▼

Behavior design improves both mobile app retention and SaaS activation rates by applying the B=MAP framework across platforms. It systematically evaluates motivation, ability, and prompts to remove friction regardless of the platform environment.

What is the best way to increase activation when users sign up but fail to complete core actions?▼

The best way to increase activation is using behavior diagnostics to score retention health based on motivation, ability, and prompts. This framework identifies specific friction points and provides targeted habit formation strategies.
