SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

Incident response is often chaotic and time-consuming. This skill provides structured guidance to manage the full lifecycle, including on-call rotations, runbooks, post-mortems, status pages, and war rooms, enabling repeatable and blameless incident handling.

Core Features & Use Cases

Structured incident lifecycle support: detection, triage, response, resolution, post-mortem, and prevention.
On-call and escalation design, runbook authoring, status-page coordination, and war-room protocols for high-severity incidents.
Templates and guardrails: post-mortem templates, runbook templates, and status-page templates to standardize practices across teams.

Quick Start

Activate the skill and begin a war-room guided incident response using the standard templates.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I structure an incident response workflow from detection to post-mortem?▼

To structure an incident response workflow, coordinate the end-to-end lifecycle from detection, triage, and response to resolution, post-mortem, and prevention using standardized templates and best-practice guidance.

What is a blameless post-mortem and how do I run one?▼

A blameless post-mortem is a structured incident review focusing on systemic issues rather than individual fault. You can run one using enforced blameless post-mortem templates that standardize practices across your engineering teams.

How do I set up on-call rotations and escalation policies for engineering teams?▼

You can set up on-call rotations and escalation policies by applying structured incident response design, which provides guardrails and best-practice guidance for coordinating high-severity incidents and war-room protocols.

What's the best way to coordinate status pages during a high-severity incident?▼

The best way to coordinate status pages during an incident is to use structured status-page templates and war-room protocols that standardize communication and response practices across engineering teams.

How do I write actionable runbooks for incident management?▼

To write actionable runbooks for incident management, use enforced runbook templates and guardrails that standardize operational procedures, ensuring repeatable and structured incident handling across your teams.

Can I use this incident management skill for the entire incident lifecycle?▼

Yes, you can use this skill for the entire incident lifecycle. It coordinates and standardizes the end-to-end workflow from initial detection through triage, response, resolution, and blameless post-mortem prevention.
