What problem does it solve?

This Skill automates extracting LinkedIn post content and turning it into structured wiki notes, solving the difficulty of reliably saving social posts for research or archival use when LinkedIn requires authentication or has unstable HTML.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Flexible input handling: Accepts either pasted post text or a LinkedIn URL fetched with cookie-based authentication.
  • Robust parsing: Extracts author, post body, date, and hashtags by checking JSON-LD then common HTML selectors, with a fallback to request pasted text when auth fails.
  • Vault integration: Saves a raw markdown file and creates a wiki source-note with metadata, takeaways, and links for easy review in Obsidian or other vault viewers.
  • Use case: Archive a thought-leader's post, extract key takeaways for research, and tag the note for later querying.

Quick Start

Provide either the LinkedIn post URL with browser cookies or paste the post text and instruct the skill to extract the author, date, hashtags, and create a source note in the vault.
