FAQPage Schema

How do I analyze a CVE vulnerability and extract its official advisory?▼

To analyze a CVE vulnerability, you can input a CVE identifier like CVE-2021-44228 to automatically extract official advisories from NVD and generate an overview of the risk. This process aggregates official reports to establish an accurate baseline for security analysis.

What is the best way to reconstruct an incident timeline for major internet outages?▼

Reconstructing an incident timeline involves identifying and aggregating official incident reports to rebuild the sequence of discovery and response. This timeline analysis helps identify triggers and the cascading failure chain across products and services.

How do I perform root-cause analysis for CVEs and internet faults?▼

Performing root-cause analysis requires extracting official advisories and incident reports to identify triggers, the failure chain, and organizational factors. It delivers actionable remediation guidance and improvement points based on the aggregated data.

Can I pull CVE data from NVD to generate remediation guidance automatically?▼

Yes, you can pull data from NVD by supplying a CVE identifier to automatically extract official advisories. This data is then used to construct timelines, identify root causes, and deliver actionable remediation guidance for incident responders.

Does this CVE analysis approach work for major internet outages across products and services?▼

Yes, this approach works for major internet outages across products and services by identifying and aggregating official incident reports. It applies to security teams and incident responders analyzing faults and generating a nine-part analysis report.

What do I need to start automated CVE vulnerability analysis?▼

To start automated CVE vulnerability analysis, you need a valid CVE identifier such as CVE-2021-44228. The system then pulls data from NVD and extracts official advisories to construct timelines and identify root causes for your incident response.
