Frequently Asked Questions about ios-developer-competency-matrix

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I audit an existing iOS project for architecture and code quality gaps?▼

You can assess iOS competency by mapping code against criteria covering Swift concurrency, memory management, UI patterns, networking, persistence, accessibility, testing coverage, and CI/CD release readiness.

What does an iOS competency matrix evaluate during code reviews?▼

An iOS competency matrix evaluates code reviews by checking Swift language proficiency, concurrency safety, memory management, UI patterns like MVVM and Coordinator, networking, persistence, accessibility, testing, and CI/CD documentation requirements.

Can I use this framework to standardize onboarding for iOS developers?▼

Yes, the framework provides unified criteria and practical checklists for Swift proficiency, architecture decisions, and platform capabilities, making it directly applicable for standardizing iOS developer onboarding and feature implementation.

What's the best way to evaluate Swift concurrency and memory management in an iOS codebase?▼

Evaluating Swift concurrency and memory management requires mapping code to concrete criteria that check concurrency safety, language usage, and architectural patterns, ensuring best-practice compliance during project audits.

Does this competency framework cover iOS testing and CI/CD release readiness?▼

Yes, the framework covers iOS testing by evaluating testing coverage and documentation requirements, and assesses CI/CD release readiness by checking platform capabilities and pipeline standards during audits.
