SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill requires @modelcontextprotocol/sdk, zod, and includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill unit provides a streamlined interface for AI coding agents to interact with the IOTA blockchain, enabling efficient wallet management, smart contract development, and on-chain data querying.

Core Features & Use Cases

Wallet Management: Offers comprehensive wallet management with human-in-the-loop signing, allowing for secure transaction handling.
Move Contract Development: Supports building, testing, and publishing Move smart contracts.
On-Chain Queries: Facilitates querying on-chain objects, transactions, coins, epoch info, and network statistics.
Use Case: An AI coding agent can use this Skill to automatically generate and sign a Move contract, fetch and analyze transaction data, or check current network statistics.

Quick Start

Use the iota-agent-mcp skill to build and test a Move package: iota-agent-mcp build ./my_move_project

Frequently Asked Questions about iota-agent-mcp

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I use AI agents to interact with the IOTA blockchain for wallet management and smart contracts?▼

You can interact with the IOTA blockchain using AI agents by integrating with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which provides secure wallet operations, Move smart contract development, and on-chain data queries.

What components are required to query on-chain data and manage wallets on the IOTA network?▼

To query on-chain data and manage wallets on the IOTA network, you need a local agent-wallet server, an IOTA JSON-RPC fullnode, and an IOTA GraphQL indexer to ensure full functionality and secure interaction.

How do I build and test Move smart contracts using an AI coding agent?▼

You can build and test Move smart contracts by instructing your AI coding agent to use the iota-agent-mcp skill, for example by executing a command like 'iota-agent-mcp build ./my_move_project' to compile and validate your package.

Can I automate transaction signing for IOTA wallets through an AI agent?▼

Yes, you can automate transaction signing through an AI agent using the wallet management feature, which incorporates human-in-the-loop signing to ensure secure transaction handling on the IOTA blockchain.

Does the Model Context Protocol support querying IOTA network statistics and epoch info?▼

Yes, the Model Context Protocol supports querying on-chain objects, transactions, coins, epoch info, and network statistics by interacting with the IOTA GraphQL indexer and JSON-RPC fullnode.

What are the limitations of using AI agents for Move smart contract development on IOTA?▼

The primary limitation is the environment requirement; you must maintain a local agent-wallet server, an IOTA JSON-RPC fullnode, and an IOTA GraphQL indexer, meaning the AI agent cannot operate fully autonomously without these local dependencies.
