SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill eliminates the risk of deploying broken Jupyter notebooks by automatically validating smart links, structure, transitions, and overall quality before production.

Core Features & Use Cases

Comprehensive Validation: Checks smart links consistency, layout structure, transition cells with action cards, and part flow.
Quality Assessment: Provides detailed scoring and issue reports with specific fixes for common notebook problems.
Use Case: Imagine you've created an educational notebook with 50+ smart links. Use this Skill to automatically verify all links resolve correctly and identify missing action cards in transitions.

Quick Start

Use the ipynb-validator skill to validate the attached Jupyter notebook file 'my-notebook.ipynb' for production readiness.

Frequently Asked Questions about ipynb-validator

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I validate Jupyter notebooks before deploying to production?▼

Validate Jupyter notebooks by checking smart links consistency, layout structure, transition cells with action cards, and part-flow sequencing. This Skill automatically scans for broken links, missing sections, and ordering issues to ensure notebooks are production-ready.

What should I check in a Jupyter notebook for production deployment?▼

Production-ready notebooks require verified smart links, correct layout and sectioning, transition cells with action cards, proper numbered part flow, and overall quality assessment. This Skill performs all these checks systematically and flags issues with specific fixes.

Can I automatically verify all links in a large Jupyter notebook?▼

Yes. This Skill validates smart link consistency across notebooks of any size, identifying unresolved links and missing action cards in transitions. It generates detailed scoring and issue reports showing exactly what needs correction.

What happens if my notebook has structural problems before deployment?▼

Notebooks with broken links, inconsistent layouts, missing transition cards, or incorrect part sequencing risk deployment failure. This Skill detects these issues upfront, preventing broken notebooks from reaching production.

How detailed are the validation results for notebook quality?▼

The Skill provides comprehensive quality scoring and issue reports that identify specific problems—broken smart links, layout gaps, missing action cards, and sequencing errors—with actionable fixes for each.

Do I need to format my notebook specially before validation?▼

No. This Skill validates standard .ipynb files directly. It checks existing smart links, structure, transitions, and part flow without requiring prior reformatting or preprocessing.
