SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Mapping a system to a mature, structurally-similar twin reveals its invariants and blind spots, enabling a first-principles perspective on architecture, codebases, and product visions.

Core Features & Use Cases

Frame and climb to surface the system's structure and the right twin
Latch and sharpen to identify a precise mature-domain mapping
Build the world by mapping parts and language one-to-one
Go generative by extracting the twin's laws and translating them into real-system invariants
Read the gaps to surface blind spots and guide architecture decisions

Quick Start

Map your current architecture to a mature twin and extract the system's invariants and blindspots.

Frequently Asked Questions about isomorph

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I surface invariants and blindspots in a system architecture?▼

To surface invariants and blindspots in system architecture, map your structure to a mature, isomorphic twin using explicit frame, latch, and build steps to translate the twin's laws into real-system insights.

What is design by analogy and how does it work for systems thinking?▼

Design by analogy for systems thinking works by mapping a system's structure to a mature twin domain, extracting its governing laws, and translating them into invariants and blindspots for the real system.

Can I use domain-mapping for high-level product design deliberations?▼

Yes, you can use domain-mapping for high-level product design deliberations to gain a first-principles perspective by identifying a precise mature-domain mapping that reveals structural blindspots and invariants.

What's the best way to reframe an architecture using a mature twin model?▼

The best way to reframe an architecture is to map parts and language one-to-one to an isomorphic twin, extract its laws, and adopt the resulting structural reframe to guide architecture decisions.

When should I use an isomorph analysis for strategic redesigns?▼

You should use an isomorph analysis for strategic redesigns when you need to ask what a system is really like, requiring a first-principles perspective to surface blindspots that guide architecture decisions.
