SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill requires beautifulsoup4, and includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

Job seekers in Korea must manually search JobKorea and Saramin, then guess which postings fit their resume. This Skill automates that search and scores each public posting against the candidate's resume, desired role, location, and exclusion criteria.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Resume-Based Query Generation: Extracts role, tool, and industry keywords from a resume or career summary to build 1-3 focused search queries.
  • Dual-Source Public Search: Queries both JobKorea and Saramin public search result pages without login, deduplicating postings by ID.
  • Fit Scoring and Strategy: Scores each posting 0-100 based on keyword, location, and career matches, penalizes negative keywords like insurance sales, and outputs reasons, cautions, and application strategy in Korean.
  • Use Case: A performance marketer with 5 years of GA4 and Meta Ads experience provides a resume summary and receives a ranked shortlist of relevant Seoul postings with direct URLs and advice on which experience to highlight first.

FAQPage Schema
How do I find job postings that match my resume in Korea?

Provide your resume or career summary text, and the skill extracts role, tool, and industry keywords to build search queries for JobKorea and Saramin. It returns a scored shortlist with direct URLs, match reasons, cautions, and application strategy suggestions.

Does this skill search both JobKorea and Saramin?

Yes, it queries both public search pages by default and deduplicates results by posting ID. You can restrict it to a single source using the --source option with either jobkorea or saramin.

Can it automatically apply to job postings for me?

No, it never clicks apply buttons, submits applications, logs in, saves postings, or enters personal information. It is a recommendation aid only, and you must verify deadlines, salary, and requirements on the original posting before applying.

How does the job posting match scoring work?

Scoring starts at 35 points and adds points for role keyword, tool/skill, industry, location, and career matches, up to 100. Explicit negative keywords like insurance sales or telemarketing subtract 30 points, and low-evidence matches are flagged as low confidence.

What happens if the job search returns no results?

The skill suggests broadening the query, removing tool terms, searching by role only, or trying alternate role names. If one source is blocked or fails, it reports the failure and continues with the other public source.
