SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Generates downstream artifacts from ontologies into deployable data products, enabling faster realization of insights from domain knowledge.

Core Features & Use Cases

Projection targets cover dbt models, neo4j graphs, azure-search indexes, a2ui schemas, LLM prompts, silver DDL, and Power BI artifacts.
CLI workflow supports generating all projections across domains or targeting specific outputs for incremental updates.
Produces an output structure and a projection report to monitor success, traceability, and quality.

Quick Start

Install kairos-ontology-toolkit and run the project command to generate all projections for your ontology hub.

Frequently Asked Questions about kairos-projection-generation

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I generate dbt models and Neo4j graph schemas from an ontology?▼

You can generate dbt models and Neo4j graph schemas from an ontology by using a projection generation tool that transforms domain knowledge into downstream artifacts, accelerating data product deployment.

What are ontology projections and when do I need them for data warehousing?▼

Ontology projections are transformations of domain knowledge into deployable artifacts like silver DDL and search indexes. You need them to accelerate the realization of insights from your structured domain models.

Can I generate Azure Search indexes and UI schemas from a single ontology source?▼

Yes, you can generate Azure Search indexes and a2ui UI schemas from a single ontology source. The projection process supports multiple targets, including search indexes and UI schemas, to streamline deployment.

Do I need the kairos-ontology-toolkit to generate Power BI artifacts and LLM prompts?▼

Yes, you need the kairos-ontology-toolkit to generate Power BI artifacts and LLM prompts. It provides the CLI workflow required to process ontology sources and produce the downstream projection outputs.

How do I generate specific projection targets instead of all outputs across domains?▼

You can target specific outputs for incremental updates by using the CLI workflow. This allows you to generate individual projections like dbt models or search indexes rather than processing all domains at once.

What is the best way to monitor traceability and quality when generating ontology projections?▼

The best way to monitor traceability and quality is to review the projection report. The generation process produces this report alongside the output structure to track success and quality metrics.
