SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps you resize and recompose images when the original frame is too tight for a banner, poster, social post, or other layout that needs more surrounding space.

Core Features & Use Cases

Directional canvas expansion: Extend an image upward, downward, left, or right while generating believable new surrounding content.
Aspect-ratio adaptation: Turn narrow or square images into wider marketing banners, headers, or cover assets without awkward cropping.
Production-safe workflow: Works with URL or raw Base64 inputs, supports asynchronous task completion, and preserves results for downstream storage use.

Quick Start

Use the kling-image-expand skill to expand the attached image into a wider banner layout while keeping the main subject centered and visually natural.

Frequently Asked Questions about kling-image-expand

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I expand an image into a wider banner layout without cropping the main subject?▼

Image expansion uses generative fill to extend the canvas upward, downward, left, or right, creating believable surrounding content. This allows aspect-ratio correction and composition optimization without cropping the original subject.

Can I use Base64 image input for canvas resizing?▼

Yes, you can use raw Base64 image input for canvas resizing alongside URL inputs. The system enforces specific image size and dimension limits, applies four directional expansion ratios, and uses asynchronous polling to handle the generative fill task.

How do I adapt a square image for social media cover assets without awkward cropping?▼

Adapting a square image for social media cover assets involves directional canvas expansion to generate new surrounding content. This adjusts the aspect ratio and optimizes the composition without awkward cropping of the original frame.

Does asynchronous polling affect image expansion task completion?▼

Asynchronous polling ensures image expansion task completion by monitoring the generative fill process across four directional expansion ratios. Once processing finishes, the system handles storage transfer to preserve the expanded results for downstream use.

What are the limitations of using generative fill for poster resizing?▼

Limitations for poster resizing include enforced image size and dimension limits on input sources, whether URL or raw Base64. Users must also account for asynchronous polling delays during task completion before the final expanded asset is ready for storage transfer.

When do I need aspect-ratio correction for web and mobile assets?▼

You need aspect-ratio correction for web and mobile assets when an original image frame is too tight for a banner or header layout. Image expansion generates new surrounding visual content to fit the required dimensions without cropping the main subject.
