FAQPage Schema

How do I design a type-safe Kotlin API for React Native Nitro Modules?▼

You can design a type-safe Kotlin API by leveraging Kotlin's strong type system and coroutine support. This ensures robust API designs with explicit thread handling for React Native Nitro Module development.

Does Kotlin coroutine support work with Android threading for Nitro Modules?▼

Yes, Kotlin coroutine support works seamlessly with Android threading for Nitro Modules. The design process provides explicit thread handling and ensures idiomatic Android integration alongside Java interop.

What is the best way to integrate Java interop when building Kotlin Android APIs?▼

The best way to integrate Java interop when building Kotlin Android APIs is to use idiomatic Android integration patterns. This ensures seamless Java interoperability while maintaining a strong type model for your application.

Do I need React Native development experience to use this Kotlin API design approach?▼

Yes, you need both Kotlin knowledge and React Native development experience. This approach specifically facilitates the creation of Kotlin-backed React Native Nitro Modules and requires familiarity with reading generated abstract classes.

How to start implementing a Kotlin API by reading generated abstract classes?▼

To start implementing a Kotlin API, read existing Kotlin code and generated abstract classes. This quick start approach allows you to design and implement robust APIs with proper Android integration and Nitro Module support.
