What problem does it solve?

It helps learners slow down when they move too quickly from observations to interpretations, assumptions, and actions, reducing biased or conflict-escalating conclusions.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Observation-to-action unpacking: separates observable data from selected data, meanings, assumptions, conclusions, beliefs, and actions.
  • Alternative interpretations: generates at least two other ladders that could fit the same observed information without forcing reconciliation.
  • Evidence-seeking dialogue: ends with questions that gather evidence safely and respectfully, including in conflict contexts.
  • Use Cases: classroom dialogue after misunderstandings, restorative reflection during staff/student conflict, inquiry-based discussion to check bias, and inquiry after a confusing incident.

Quick Start

Ask the AI to run a Ladder of Inference reflection by providing the situation and context, then request alternative ladders and evidence-seeking questions.
