SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

LBO modeling is complex, template-driven, and error-prone. This skill automates and validates the construction of Excel-based leveraged buyout models, ensuring dynamic formulas, consistent structure, and high-quality output that adapts to any template.

Core Features & Use Cases

Template-driven formula filling: use the selected LBO template structure exactly, copying it and populating with user inputs.
Section-by-section workflow: complete one section fully before moving to the next to maintain accuracy and prevent circular references.
Validation and formatting: enforce Excel formulas, correct sign conventions, and professional formatting aligned with investment banking standards.
Guardrails and error handling: provide guidance for missing templates, unclear assumptions, and common model issues.

Quick Start

Open the provided LBO template, copy it as the starting point if needed, and begin by entering user inputs to populate dynamic formulas in the correct sections.
