What problem does it solve?

This Skill enables operators to manage and operate pre-provisioned remote OpenScientist machines via SSH, allowing deep runs to be executed off-laptop and ongoing management to be centralized.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • List machines and view their status, active machine, and provisioning state.
  • Activate or deactivate a machine to control which one the Electron tunnel targets and which machine the user is connected to.
  • Run live probes (SSH ControlMaster, systemd user units, health checks) and diagnose connectivity issues.
  • Reopen a dropped SSH tunnel without restarting the entire workflow.
  • Trigger a deep run end-to-end (worktree prep and plane POST) and pull results back via session refs.
  • Fetch a finished run's result by pulling the osci/<sid> branch into the laptop’s git repository.

Quick Start

Activate a ready machine, inspect its status, and trigger a deep run on a pre-provisioned remote host.
