How do I estimate TAM, SAM, and SOM for a new market entry?▼

To estimate TAM, SAM, and SOM, define market boundaries and apply both top-down and bottom-up methodologies. This quantifies total market opportunity, the serviceable addressable portion, and realistic obtainable market share.

What is the difference between top-down and bottom-up market sizing?▼

Top-down market sizing estimates opportunity from broad industry revenue down to a target segment, while bottom-up calculates potential based on unit pricing and customer volume. Using both validates market opportunity accuracy.
