What problem does it solve?

It helps you design and analyze impedance-controlled PCB transmission lines (including differential pairs and coupling/crosstalk) without relying on less accurate or mismatched analytical calls, and without running unnecessary full-wave simulations just to extract basic transmission-line parameters.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Impedance-controlled design for microstrip, stripline, CPW, SIW, and coupled/differential variants, including design() for target impedance at a chosen frequency.
  • Fast parameter extraction such as characteristic impedance and per-unit-length RLGC/propagation delay, plus 2D cross-section modeling via pcb2D and trace2D.
  • Crosstalk and coupling analysis using coupled/differential objects and, for differential pairs with aggressors, microstripLineCustom with NEXT/FEXT extraction from computed S-parameters.

Quick Start

Use the matlab-design-pcb-txline skill to design a 50-ohm FR4 microstrip at 3e9 Hz and report the characteristic impedance.
