What problem does it solve?

It eliminates manual, error-prone Shopify Admin work by letting Claude safely read and apply structured changes to products, collections, inventory, discounts, and analytics through MCP tools.

  • Commerce management: Enables common Admin operations like product CRUD (create/update), bulk status changes, collection CRUD, adding products to collections, and uploading images.
  • Inventory and promotions: Provides inventory reads and quantity updates with safety checks plus discount creation using customer segments.
  • Insights and deep access: Runs ShopifyQL analytics queries and offers a GraphQL “escape hatch” for advanced Admin API actions when dedicated tools don’t fit.

Quick Start

Use the mcp-shopify skill to update a product’s title and description on my active Shopify store after first confirming the store context with get-shop-info.
