SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill addresses the ambiguity in feature success by providing a structured framework to define clear outcomes, instrumentation, and decision rules before a feature is launched.

Core Features & Use Cases

Success Criteria Definition: Maps intended outcomes to specific leading and lagging indicators.
Instrumentation Planning: Identifies necessary telemetry, data quality checks, and ownership for every metric.
Decision Governance: Establishes pre-defined thresholds and review rules to prevent vanity metrics and ensure accountable product decisions.

Quick Start

Use the measurement-plan-pack skill to generate a comprehensive success plan for the current feature delivery case by providing the target outcome and release path.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create a measurement plan for feature delivery?▼

To create a measurement plan, define success criteria by mapping intended outcomes to leading and lagging indicators, then establish telemetry requirements and decision thresholds before launch.

What is a success criteria definition for product management?▼

Success criteria definition maps intended product outcomes to specific leading and lagging indicators, providing a structured framework to evaluate feature delivery against evidence-based targets.

How do I prevent vanity metrics in product telemetry?▼

Prevent vanity metrics in product telemetry by establishing pre-defined decision thresholds and review rules that ensure accountable product decisions based on actionable data governance standards.

What telemetry instrumentation is needed for release readiness?▼

Telemetry instrumentation for release readiness requires identifying necessary data points, defining data quality checks, and assigning accountable ownership for every metric tracked.

Do I need data governance alignment for product measurement?▼

Yes, data governance alignment is required to produce actionable instrumentation gap lists and review rules that respect privacy standards and ensure accountable metric ownership.

How do I set decision thresholds for feature success metrics?▼

Set decision thresholds for feature success metrics by mapping intended outcomes to specific indicators and establishing pre-defined review rules that prevent vanity metrics during evaluation.
