FAQPage Schema

How do I merge template updates while keeping my customizations?▼

Smart template merging compares your current template, a backup version, and the package update to preserve your changes while applying new features. The optimizer proposes merge strategies that avoid losing customizations during synchronization.

What's the best way to handle template conflicts during version updates?▼

Three-way template comparison detects conflicts between current, backup, and package versions, then proposes safe merge strategies. This automated approach resolves conflicts by analyzing what changed in each version and suggesting how to integrate updates without overwriting your modifications.

How do I discover and analyze existing backups in my moai project?▼

Backup detection scans your moai project environment to identify existing backups automatically. The optimizer analyzes these backups alongside current and package templates to enable informed comparison and merge decisions.

Can I automate template synchronization across moai project versions?▼

Yes. The optimizer automates backup-driven synchronization by detecting backups, comparing template versions, performing intelligent merges, and generating comprehensive update reports. This eliminates manual template management during version transitions.

What information does the update report provide after merging templates?▼

The update report documents all changes applied during the merge, maintains synchronization records, and provides context-backed guidance on decisions made. This comprehensive logging helps you track what was updated and why.
