What problem does it solve?

Connect a hardware wallet to MoonPay CLI to sign transactions on-device, preventing private keys from leaving the device and enabling seamless use of MoonPay features without exposing secrets.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Add a Ledger hardware wallet to the MoonPay CLI with mp wallet hardware add --name "my-ledger" and manage addresses without exposing secrets.
  • Sign transactions on-device for swaps, transfers, and bridges, while addresses are cached in an encrypted vault and on-device approvals are required.
  • Supported chains include Ethereum and Solana; all core MoonPay commands (swap, transfer, bridge, buy, balance) work with the hardware wallet.
