SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This skill helps product teams and small engineering groups turn vague requirements or a PRD into a structured, timeboxed MVP roadmap that defines milestones, sprint plans, feature breakdowns, and capacity-based estimates.

Core Features & Use Cases

Guided scoping interview: Asks targeted questions to capture release goals, team capacity, priority features, and external dependencies.
Complexity-based estimation: Maps features to complexity tiers and produces time estimates and buffer recommendations using the embedded complexity guidance.
Dependency visualization & sprint planning: Generates mermaid-style dependency diagrams, milestone timelines, sprint-by-sprint task assignments, and acceptance criteria to support planning and review workflows.

Quick Start

Create an MVP roadmap for a service launching in 3 months with two full-time developers, listing milestones, sprint allocations, and feature-level estimates.

Frequently Asked Questions about mvp-roadmap-generator

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create an MVP roadmap from product requirements?▼

Generate an MVP roadmap by inputting release goals, team capacity, and priority features to receive milestone timelines and sprint-by-sprint task assignments. The tool conducts a guided scoping interview to capture constraints and outputs structured plans with buffer recommendations.

Can I use sprint planning for a small team with limited developer capacity?▼

Sprint planning for small teams uses developer capacity and buffer rules to allocate tasks across sprints. The skill accepts team size constraints and generates sprint-by-sprint assignments with complexity-based time estimates tailored for small engineering groups.

How does dependency mapping work for milestone timelines?▼

Dependency mapping visualizes feature relationships using mermaid-style dependency diagrams within milestone timelines. The skill identifies external dependencies during a guided scoping interview and outputs diagrams that sequence sprint plans and task assignments.

What's the best way to estimate feature complexity for a startup MVP?▼

Estimate feature complexity by mapping requirements to complexity tiers that produce time estimates and buffer recommendations. The skill uses embedded complexity guidance to generate timeboxed schedules and acceptance criteria for small team planning workflows.

Does MVP roadmap generation work with external dependencies and priority features?▼

MVP roadmap generation handles external dependencies by capturing them during a guided scoping interview alongside release goals and priority features. The skill processes these inputs to produce milestone timelines and mermaid dependency diagrams reflecting the constraints.
