SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps evaluate an investment through Nassim Taleb's lens of antifragility, tail risk, and hidden blow-up exposure. It is useful when average-case returns are misleading and the real question is how the opportunity behaves under disorder.

Core Features & Use Cases

Fragility diagnosis: Reviews leverage, dependency on stable conditions, thin margins, and structural brittleness.
Convexity check: Assesses whether downside is capped and upside expands under volatility or stress.
Incentive analysis: Examines skin in the game and penalizes one-way risk taking.
Use case: Apply it to a highly leveraged business, a complex trade, or a portfolio strategy that looks stable but may fail catastrophically in a tail event.

Quick Start

Analyze the investment using Nassim Taleb's antifragility framework and give a final judgment on whether it is fragile, robust, or antifragile.

FAQPage Schema

How do I check if an investment is fragile or antifragile under stress?▼

To diagnose fragility, review leverage, dependency on stable conditions, and structural brittleness. This exposes hidden blow-up risk before it occurs, revealing if the investment will fail catastrophically in a tail event.

How does a convexity check work for tail-risk analysis?▼

A convexity check assesses whether an investment's downside is capped and its upside expands under volatility. This tail-risk analysis reveals if the opportunity benefits structurally from market stress and disorder.

Can I use this antifragility framework to evaluate a highly leveraged stock?▼

Yes, you can evaluate a highly leveraged stock by examining its skin in the game and incentive structures. The analysis penalizes one-way risk taking, ensuring the opportunity is judged safely under stress.

What is the best way to analyze tail risk in a complex trade?▼

The best way to analyze tail risk in a complex trade is by examining average-case returns versus behavior under disorder. This approach identifies hidden blow-up exposure by judging convexity, leverage, and skin in the game.

When should I not rely on average-case returns for portfolio analysis?▼

You should not rely on average-case returns when a portfolio strategy looks stable but may fail catastrophically in a tail event. This indicates hidden fragility where leverage and structural brittleness are masked.
