FAQPage Schema

How do I structure routes using the Next.js App Router?▼

Structure Next.js App Router by organizing file-system directories with layout and page files, enabling nested UI and server components for dynamic rendering. This replaces the pages directory for scalable routing.

When should I use React Server Components in Next.js?▼

Use Server Components in Next.js when fetching data on the server, accessing backend resources directly, or improving SEO. They execute exclusively on the server, reducing client-side JavaScript and boosting initial page performance.

What is the best way to configure ISR and caching strategies in Next.js?▼

Configure Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR) and caching strategies in Next.js by setting time-based revalidation intervals or on-demand revalidation tags within route handlers. This ensures robust, up-to-date content delivery across production environments.

Does Next.js middleware work with the App Router for route protection?▼

Next.js middleware works seamlessly with the App Router to protect routes, rewrite URLs, and manage authentication before a request completes. It executes at the edge, intercepting requests prior to page rendering.

How do I deploy Next.js apps with streaming and optimized images?▼

Deploy Next.js applications by configuring server-side streaming for UI components and utilizing the built-in image component for automatic optimization. This ensures high-performance delivery across production environments.
