FAQPage Schema

What is the most cost-effective AWS deployment option for Next.js applications?▼

The most cost-effective AWS deployment option for Next.js depends on your workload. Evaluating traffic patterns, scale, and required features like SSR, ISR, or caching helps identify the optimal architecture among EC2, Serverless, or containers to minimize expenses.

How do I compare AWS deployment costs for small versus large Next.js workloads?▼

Comparing AWS deployment costs for Next.js workloads involves analyzing pricing across architectures like Amplify, OpenNext, and CDK NextJS. Applying traffic patterns and scale to these options reveals cost-effective solutions for both small and large workloads.

Can I deploy Next.js with SSR and ISR on AWS using Serverless or containers?▼

Yes, you can deploy Next.js with SSR and ISR on AWS using Serverless or containers. Evaluating these deployment architectures ensures your application meets performance needs and required features while maintaining scalability and cost efficiency.

What are the trade-offs between using AWS Amplify and OpenNext for Next.js?▼

Trade-offs between AWS Amplify and OpenNext for Next.js involve pricing, TLS/SSL configuration, and feature support. Amplify offers managed simplicity, while OpenNext provides greater architectural control for specific serverless rendering and caching requirements.

Does the choice between EC2 and Serverless for Next.js affect TLS/SSL setup and pricing?▼

Choosing between EC2 and Serverless for Next.js directly affects TLS/SSL setup and pricing. Serverless abstracts certificate management, whereas EC2 requires manual configuration, both carrying distinct pricing implications and notable caveats for your deployment.
