SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Archive-then-rewrite Notion pages to achieve idempotent markdown-to-Notion synchronization. Re-running should not create duplicate blocks; ensures a stable final state when re-syncing content.

Core Features & Use Cases

Idempotent md-to-Notion sync: archive existing blocks, then recreate content from Markdown sources.
Frontmatter handling: strips YAML frontmatter to avoid polluting Notion page headers.
Safety guardrails: single-file canary before bulk updates, paginated archiving, rate-limited patching to Notion.
Integration-ready: designed to work with pre-allocated Notion pages via bulk pipelines and existing page mappings.

Quick Start

Run the idempotent sync on a mapped Notion page to archive existing blocks and re-create content from Markdown while preserving the page structure.
