SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill automates turning product or technical specifications into concrete, actionable Notion tasks and implementation plans, enabling consistent handoffs from requirements to delivery.

Core Features & Use Cases

Spec discovery & parsing to locate sources, extract requirements, acceptance criteria, and constraints.
Plan generation to create an implementation plan with phases, goals, and timelines, linked to the original spec.
Task creation & linking to generate detailed tasks in a central tasks database, with proper dependencies and context, all linked back to the spec.
Bidirectional traceability to maintain links between spec, plan, and tasks, for auditability and progress tracking.
On-demand templates & patterns to apply standard implementation templates and progress tracking across projects.

Quick Start

Provide a specification page URL; the system will locate, fetch, parse, and generate an implementation plan with tasks linked to the spec.

FAQPage Schema

How do I turn product specifications into actionable Notion tasks?▼

To turn product specifications into Notion tasks, provide a spec page URL. The system fetches and parses requirements, generates an implementation plan with phases, and creates linked task pages in your tasks database.

What is the best way to create an implementation plan from a Notion spec?▼

Creating an implementation plan from a Notion spec involves extracting requirements and acceptance criteria, defining phases with goals and timelines, and generating task pages with dependencies that link bidirectionally back to the original spec.

Can I automatically extract acceptance criteria from my requirements spec in Notion?▼

You can extract acceptance criteria from a requirements spec in Notion by providing the page URL. The system searches, fetches, and parses the spec to structure these criteria into detailed implementation tasks.

How do I maintain bidirectional traceability between specs and tasks in Notion?▼

Maintaining bidirectional traceability between specs and tasks in Notion is achieved by automatically linking generated task pages back to the original specification page, enabling continuous progress tracking and auditability.

Do I need a specific Notion database setup to generate implementation plans?▼

Generating implementation plans requires a central tasks database to populate with detailed task pages, standard templates for plan generation, and proper dependencies to ensure structured handoffs from requirements to delivery.
